AxynTeC Dünnschichttechnik GmbH in Augsburg are experts at this high-tech process. The specially coated machine parts they produce are virtually wear-free and are used in Formula 1 motor-racing or in the field of human medicine. With the specialist know-how at its disposal, backed up by the corresponding industrial patents, the company is well on the road to success.
AxynTeC Dünnschichttechnik GmbH is a company specialising in surface and thin film technology, founded in 1999 by Dr. Marcus Kuhn, Dr. Bernd Schey, Prof. Dr. Bernd Stritzker and Dr. Karl-Heinz Thürer.
It is a spin-off of the Department of Physics at Augsburg University and was launched partly with the aid of subsidies from the Bavarian Ministry of State government.
The success and strength of the company are a result of the scientific and practical experience that its founders gained during years of participation in the national and international projects, and of the unique and innovative nature of the two thin film technology processes used.
Along with our Advisory Board member Hubertus von Zastrow, who is also one of the new AxynTEC partners, we have been a majority stakeholder in this company since July 2006.
